With the latests PC Suite, Nokia pushed a new Nokia Software Updater to update your software phone with latest versions, fix potential problems you may have like speed lack, security bugs... For example my N80 SMS was very slow but after updating I can feel the difference in speed to read, send and receive messages and emails. The feature isn't available for all Nokia phone models, but many of them are already supported as : E-Series E50, E60, E61, E70, N-Series N70, N71, N72, N73, N80, N91, N92, N93, N800, in addition to 3250, 5200, 5300 XpressMusic, 5500 sport, 6085, 6125, 6126, 6131, 6136, 6151, 6233, 6234, 6270, 6630, 6680, 6681, 6682, 7370, 7390.

First you need the latest Nokia PC Suite, then you'll be redirected to download the adequate software from Nokia Software Updater. You choose your model then download, the download is about 66MB for my N80, It's a little big but I'm not sure about other models. And before updating be sure to phone is fully charged, and never disconnect the USB cable during the process. I have tried twice on my N80, and update was done without any trouble at all.

If you have download problems don't worry it's not harmful to software update, the important phase is during the install itself.
