I was using Opera mini since long time and I was waiting for the version 3.0, but was surprised the some of the new features are not working, especially the download one. I'll try to check if its due to my mobile or other issue.

Nokia Keyboard and Nokia Mobile Productivity

I bought last month a Nokia Bluetooth Keyboard SU-8W, it was a gadget that I wanted to get since long time but didn't find it in any of the close mobile shops. The idea sounds crazy, but I love to try new things, and getting a bluetooth keyboard was a new experience for me that I wanted to try and step into mobile productivity. I got the package today, the bluetooth keyboard, with two AA batteries in addition to a memory card 32Mo that probably none use it and put it with the keyboard. I throw it away anyway.

NSeries have a nokia keyboard application pre-installed and if you don't have it you can simply get it from Nokia Catalogue. This will make coupling your mobile with the Nokia Keyboard very easy. From connectivity, launch Wireless keyboard application then select Find Keyboards from the menu. This will enable bluetooth if not enabled and start searching. From the other side turn the keyboard on, it will be immediately detected as Nokia SU-8W. After that a password is requested from your mobile phone, choose any number then type it on the keyboard to validate. Once your mobile and keyboard are coupled, usage will be more than fun, by simply turning on the keyboard you can instantly get control on your mobile phone.

Turn Your Nokia Phone into a Barcode Reader

Monday, 05 February 2007

I didn't knew that I have already a barcode reader before finding the Nokia Barcode Reader in the Nokia Catalogs , while classic barcode readers cost . The application is available for free and allow to scan 2D Barcodes such QRCode and DataMatrix directly from your mobile phone, most of the codes contain short amount of data such as an URL. The main driver to use barcodes reader is the easiness of scanning codes compared to typing in a web address with a mobile phone.

I enjoyed a lot watching movies on my N80 contrarily to many others who find it not fun at all, well especially in a place where you are alone with your phone I think it's pretty interesting to give it a try. So what you need is only your mobile phone with video support 3GP is always supported, but I personally prefer avi now that DivX Player is available for mobile .

Track Traffic Cameras With Your 6600

Sometimes you don't necessarily need to have the latest Nokia model to experiment something new, the case for GPSGatsoMaster which works on 6600 only. I find the application very original, it allow you to track traffic cameras simply by using a bluetooth GPS receiver and a database of safety cameras in UK regularly updated and maintained by pocketgps.co.uk.

What you need is a Nokia 6600, a bluetooth GPS receiver and GPSGatsoMaster , not a big budget especially if you have already a bluetooth GPS receive which I find very useful not only for this application.
